Articular Cartilage Paste Graft
Video Description: This repair technique uses the patient’s own bone, cartilage, and mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) in the bone marrow to form a paste that when applied to a morselized arthritic area of the knee, induces cartilage regeneration. The technique is the only repair technique indicated for both isolated chondral defects and arthritic lesions and can be applied to any joint. It requires a one-month period of non-weight bearing and a CPM machine to be successful.

The SRF Library of Robotic and Orthobiologic Surgical Techniques is an educational video collection of the innovative procedures performed by Kevin R. Stone, MD of The Stone Clinic and Stone Research Foundation in San Francisco, CA. We’ve documented and shared these advanced techniques to help push forward the science of biologic and robotic surgery to orthopaedists across the globe. Watch with caution, these videos contain graphic images of surgery.
